Master’s Degree Applicants
North Park Theological Seminary is currently accepting applications to the Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Christian Formation, Master of Arts in Theological Studies, and dual-degree programs.
Prerequisites:
The prerequisite for entrance to the seminary master’s degree or graduate certificate program at North Park Theological Seminary is a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of a 2.5. In special cases we will review an applicant who does not meet these academic requirements. Please email semadmissions@518331.com for more information.
The prerequisite for the dual-degree options is a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of a 3.0.
To Apply:
- Complete the master’s degree online application. The priority deadline apply for fall semester is June 1; the priority deadline to begin studies in the spring semester is December 1. If you are applying to an Ignite or Equip Cohort, please be sure to select that as your location as part of the application to the Master of Arts in Christian Formation program.
- Submit the required supplemental items
- Recommendations: Each application requires three recommendations: pastor, church committee, and faculty/colleague. Upon entering the name and email of your reference, secure recommendation forms and instructions will be emailed directly to them. You can monitor the status of your recommendation forms via the student portal section of the application.
- Essay Questions: You will find the essay question prompt and space to upload your answers on the student portal page of the application.

Official Transcripts: NPTS requires official academic transcripts from each postsecondary institution you have attended. Schools should send sealed transcripts directly to North Park University by mail or electronically to dataentry@518331.com or

If you have attended another seminary in the past five years without completing a degree, you will also need a letter of good standing from the dean of that institution.
If you have a previously attended a seminary and wish to transfer graduate credit toward your master’s degree, contact semacademicserv@518331.com. Please be advised that transcripts will only be evaluated for academic credit upon complete of the admissions process.
